Sentence of case of assaulting pensioner pronounced in Penza

Penza, 5 February 2014. PenzaNews. Three residents of Penza found guilty of attempted robbery of 79-year-old pensioner, who was keeping 100 thousand rubles for her son which he received in the bank under the loan agreement.

“The court found that one of the young men, wearing a black face mask with slits for eyes, gloves and armed with a stun gun, rang the doorbell of the victim, and when she answered, hit the woman in the face, after which she fell on the floor. The man began to beat the pensioner demanding to give away the money, and when the woman began to scream for help, he fled from the scene,” the representative of Oktyabrsky district court of Penza told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He specified that the man was sentenced to 3 years and 1 month of imprisonment in a penal colony.

According to the agency interlocutor, another young man who participated in the preparation of the crime received a suspended sentence, and the third convicted — a sentence of 2,5 years of imprisonment in a penal colony.

“Besides, the man who attacked the victim is to pay 30 thousand rubles for moral damage. The decision of the court has not entered into force yet and may be appealed within the statutory period,” the representative of Oktyabrsky district court of Penza informed.
