Ex-police officer accused of forgery in Penza region

Penza, 6 February 2014. PenzaNews. A former police officer, who used to work in the private security inter-district department in Bashmakovo area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region, is accused of forgery.
“According to the investigation, in November 2013 he filed a fake report. The man gave false information about an offense committed by a resident of Pachelma area under Art. 20.21 of the Administrative Code “Appearance in public in state of intoxication.” Later this citizen was unreasonably brought to administrative responsibility and sentenced to a fine. He was also included in the unified database of administrative offenses which violated his constitutional rights and legitimate interests,” the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, Media relations, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She explained that the crime was committed by the police officer in order to improve statistics, receive a positive evaluation of his work by the management, as well as bonuses and benefits.
“The investigation collected sufficient evidence to institute a criminal case and send it to the court for consideration on the merits,” the agency interlocutor summed up.
