Penza, 11 February 2014. PenzaNews. Truck driver hit a woman crossing the road at the green signal of the traffic lights at the intersection of Tukhachevskogo Street and Lokomotivnaya Street in Penza on Tuesday afternoon, February 11.

As the correspondent of news agency PenzaNews reported from the scene, first aid was rendered by the passers-by who called an ambulance and traffic police.

According to preliminary data, immediately before the accident the truck driver saw the pedestrian, tried to avoid the collision by turning the steering wheel sharply, nonetheless, he hit the woman and crashed into a nearby car.

The circumstances of the accident are under investigation.
