Gorodishche, 13 February 2014. PenzaNews. The prosecutor of Gorodishche area, the Penza region upheld the criminal case under Art. 156 of the Criminal Code “Child neglect” against a woman whose son died in intensive care on January 3, 2014.

“It has been established that the mother repeatedly left her child, born June 15, 2013, in a helpless state without proper nutrition and medical care,” the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department noted that according to preliminary information, it was the behavior of the woman, combined with the abuse of her son that caused his death.

“The criminal investigation is under the control of the prosecutor's office of Gorodishche area,” the press service added.
