Murderer wanted for 15 years detained by Penza police

Penza, 17 February 2014. PenzaNews. Penza police detained a man who was on the federal wanted list for 15 years on suspicion of murder.
“In 1999, he left the Penza region fleeing from police. Criminal police officers conducted a large complex of operational and search activities, as well as analytical work. Police found that the man had been hiding for a long time in different regions, and the last few years he spent in St. Petersburg, where he lived under a fake name in a rented apartment. The murderer was detained with the participation of colleagues from the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. He showed no resistance. The very fact of detention was a surprise for him,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Penza region told news agency PenzaNews on Monday, February 17.
The ministry clarified that the man was brought to Penza for further investigation.
