Store director whose wife sold beer to teenager to be under trial in Penza

Penza, 20 February 2014. PenzaNews. A 55-year-old director of a grocery store in Kizhevatova street in Penza, where a fact of sale of beer to teenager was registered, will appeared in court.

“The man is accused of attempted bribery of an official. According to investigators, in the evening on January 28, 2014, a cashier sold two bottles of beer to underage. Thereafter, a police officer informed the store worker that her actions contained elements of an offense under Part 2.1, Art. 14.16 of the Administrative Code. Then the store director, who is the spouse of the cashier, offered the inspector a bribe of five thousand rubles for not reporting the incident,” the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, Media relations, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She added that the police officer refused the bribe.
“To date, the investigation has collected sufficient evidence,” the agency interlocutor noted.
