“A few days ago, a car of Investigative Committee drove up to the gymnasium. It happened at around 21.30. The classes were over, and the lights were on only in the director's office. It was obvious that something had happened in school, but what it was, has more or less disclosed only now. They say that one of the teachers can be involved in pedophilia. If this is indeed the case, then it is a shame not only for the educational institution, but also for the entire education field of Penza. This is a stigma which is difficult to wash off, especially since the gymnasium is one of the best schools in the city,” the agency interlocutor said.
He also noted that he did not consider it appropriate to divulge the name of the teacher at this time, because, on the one hand, no official charges have been brought yet, and, on the other hand, “the name is too well known to disclose it.”
“In my opinion, our laws can now be interpreted in such an exaggerated way that almost any careless action can be brought under the offense or crime. If the teacher took the child's hand or, for example, patted him on the head for diligent homework, it may already be a reason for an investigation whether a normal teacher does that. Especially if the statement was written by a student or his parents, the authority will be obliged to study it in every way,” the source commented.
However, the director of the versatile gymnasium No.l3 Elena Tymchenko is not available for any comment yet.
The press service of the Investigative Committee in the Penza region refused to confirm or deny the information provided by news agency “PenzaNews.”
