Penza, 24 February 2014. PenzaNews. A 32-year-old resident of Penza suspected of a series of attacks on pensioners.

“The man admitted having committed three crimes in different parts of the city under similar circumstances — in banks he watched older people who withdrew money from their account, and then followed them and attacked in deserted places stealing money,” the press service of the Ministry Internal Affairs of the region told the news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry clarified that the suspect is currently in custody.

“It was established that the man was not previously brought to criminal responsibility. The investigators verify his involvement in similar crimes,” the ministry said.
