All these years, our theater proves again and again that it is alive, that it can develop dynamically, it is able to search for new forms of work, master both classical and radical modern drama, it can attract productions by both young directors and acknowledged masters, and all this is for the sake of its audience, for the sake of those for whom large and friendly theater staff lives and works,” the head of literary and dramatic department of Drama Theatre Vitaly Sokolov told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He added that the theatre team is summing up the achievements of the last year.

“The theatre presented eight premieres, made four tours and festivals and held a creative master classes. Currently we are rehearsing two plays — “A Hero of Our Time” by Mikhail Lermontov and “Poverty Is No Crime” by Alexander Ostrovsky, premieres of which are scheduled for April,” the agency interlocutor said.
