Penza, 21 March 2014. PenzaNews. A 16-year-old teenager was sentenced to 4,5 years of imprisonment in an educational penal colony for murdering a 25-year-old man, whom he had beaten to death in Polevaya Street in Sursk, the Penza region on November 16, 2013.

“The investigators found that during the night two groups of young people had a quarrel. During the conflict, the teenager ran up to the victim and struck him with an oblong blunt hard object several times on the head and torso. The man died from injuries in the hospital on November 19,” the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, Media relations, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PewnzaNews.”

She added that, according to witnesses, the minor beat the victim with a baseball bat.

“During the investigation, the teenager admitted his guilt and wrote the confession,” the agency interlocutor noted.
