Penza, 31 March 2014. PenzaNews. Police officers arrested a 33-year-old unemployed resident of Penza, who was trying to obtain a loan using someone else's passport.

“On Sunday, March 30, the office on duty of the police department No. 3 received a call from the specialist of financial institution. According to her, one of the customers tried receiving a loan providing a passport, the authenticity of which was doubtful. The officers arrived to the bank and detained the man who presented the document to another person's name,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry noted that the detainee has never been brought to justice before.

“Currently, the incident is under investigation, upon the result of which further procedural decision will be made. Police is trying to find out how the man managed to get another person's passport,” the press service commented.
