One drug control officer killed, one injured during drug dealer arrest near Penza

Penza, 31 March 2014. PenzaNews. One officer of the Federal Drug Control Service in the Penza region was killed and the other injured during an arrest of a group of people suspected of drug trafficking.

“Last Sunday, March 30, in Kuznetsk, one of the suspects ran over the investigators when driving his car, then fled the scene. One of the officers died from the injuries on the spot, the other one was hospitalized,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The ministry noted that in connection with the incident “Interception” operation was introduced in the Penza region.
“Additional duty stations have been established. Police officers are taking steps to identify the driver and arrest him,” the press service explained.
