Penza, 1 April 2014. PenzaNews. A 41-year-old resident of the Penza region was accused of sexual assault against his 15-year-old stepdaughter, as well as imprisonment of the girl and her grandmother.

“According to the investigation, the accused worked in Moscow on a rotational basis and used to come to the Penza region from time to time to stay in his wife's house, where her 15-year-old daughter and a 66-year-old grandmother lived. In March 2014 the man, being in the house of his wife, had a quarrel with the elderly woman and beat her, then committed a sexual assault against the teenager. Thereafter, under the threat of physical violence he forced the girl and her grandmother to go down into the cellar, where he held them illegally. The teenager and the woman managed to break free after a few hours when the girl was able to persuade the attacker to give her an opportunity to call an ambulance for her grandmother, who was later hospitalized with injuries,” the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, Media relations, Lyudmila Fomina told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She added that the investigators requested to take the man in custody.

“Currently, the circumstances of the incident are under investigation,” the agency interlocutor summed up.
