Penza, 6 May 2014. PenzaNews. A resident of Neverkino region, Penza territory, who was born in 1936, became the victim of telephone fakers.

“An unknown person phoned the elderly woman and, passing as her grandson who is living in Moscow, said that he knocked down a man while driving and needs 100 thousand rubles to pay for a lawyer,” told press service of the Interior Ministry of Russia in the Penza region to agency “PenzaNews.”

The press center added that the complaintant, following the unknown man’s instructions, has sent a postal transfer to the telephone faker’s account.

“Currently, the fraud case is being investigated. The police officers conduct the necessary work to establish the identities of those who were involved in the crime,” the press center representative said.
