Penza region deputy guilty for 1 mln ruble fraud

Penza, 6 May 2014. PenzaNews. A deputy of Assembly of Representatives of Kameshkir region, Penza territory, who was a virtual manager of a commercial facility, was found guilty in crime under Part 1, Art. 159.4 of the Criminal Code “Business Fraud.”

“The court and the investigation found that the man has prepared forged documents on a shipment of the goods of his company for a total amount of 1 mln. 116 thousand rubles to a firm in Togliatti, and a registry of assigned receivables, according to which the firm assigned the receivables to a factoring company,” told Lyudmila Fomina, the Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, to agency “PenzaNews.”

She clarified that the factoring company, unaware of the forgery, has delivered a payment for a total amount of 1 mln rubles to the convict’s account, which the latter has used in his own discretion.

“The law has sentenced the man to a fine of 70 thousand roubles, and a fine 1 mln rubles as a compensation of material harm caused to the factoring company,” clarified the agency interlocutor.
