15-year-old schoolgirl hit on pedestrian crossing in Spassky area

Penza, 13 May 2014. PenzaNews. Police officers are currently investigating the circumstances of an accident in the result of which a 15-year-old schoolgirl who was crossing the roadway on an unregulated pedestrian crossing on federal highway “Ural” in Dubrovka village, Spassky area, the Penza region.

“Preinvestigation showed that on Monday, May 12, the resident of the Kursk region, born 1972, driving “Volvo” hit the girl. She was taken to hospital with a closed head injury, concussion, closed nose fracture and bruised wound of superciliary area,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry added that the driver had his blood tested.

The accident is under investigation.
