Penza, 14 May 2014. PenzaNews. Compulsory medical measures may be applied to a resident of Bessonovsky area, the Penza region, who killed his own son on December 8, 2013.
“It was established that at the time of committing the crime he was intoxicated. During the quarrel provoked by his son, the man struck him with a kitchen knife into the heart, from which the victim died on the spot. According to expert opinion, the father was diagnosed with mental illness — dementia. It excludes the possibility to understand the actual nature and social danger of his actions and demonstrate self-control,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She explained that the appointment of compulsory treatment in a medical organization will be decided in court.
