Man who abducted spouses from Leonidovka sentenced to 14 years in prison

Penza, 28 May 2014. PenzaNews. A 47-year-old resident of the Penza region was convicted of particularly serious crime, including murder, unlawful imprisonment, five episodes of rape, as well as deliberate destruction of another's property.
The man was detained under the operational activities on search of the spouses from Leonidovka, who disappeared in September 2013.
“Investigation found that on August 31, the couple arrived to the country house of the convicted in Proletarovka by their car “VAZ-2108.” The men got into a quarrel in which the convicted person shot the victim in the head, from which he died. To hide the crime, the man put the wife of the victim in the cellar where he raped and held her for over ten days,” the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee told news agency “PenzaNews.”
The ministry added that the man repainted the car of the victims in a different color using spray paint.
“Together with his friend, he brought the dead body in the forest, where they buried the corpse, and burned the car,” the press service noted.
In Russian Investigative Committee added that the convict has already had criminal record — he was released from prison in August 2012.
“The court sentenced him to 14 years of imprisonment in a colony with a special regime,” the office summarized.
