“It has been established that in October 2013, he cut down 19 trees totaling 7,19 cu. meters having no permission, and damaging them to the cessation of growth,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She explained that he carried out illegal felling in Krasnoe Poltso, Mokshansky area in the forest under natural protection, where felling is prohibited.

“In accordance with the position of the public prosecutor, the court made a decision to sentence him for three years of imprisonment with a probation period of 3 years. Civil suit of “Mokshanskoe forestry” to recover 554,709 rubles in compensation from the criminal for the damage caused, was satisfied in full,” the agency interlocutor said.
