Penza hunter accidentally wounded his relative when aiming at duck

Penza, 2 July 2014. PenzaNews. Narovchatsky district court of the Penza region considered a criminal case against a local resident, accused by authorities of inquiry of causing grievous bodily harm by negligence.

“At the hearing it was established that in April 2014, in the evening, the victim and the accused were waterfowling. Standing behind the hut in which the victim was, the hunter shot at a passing duck, resulting in a charge shot hitting the victim in the left side of the back,” the press service of the court told news agency “PenzaNews.”

Allowing criminal negligence, the defendant caused bodily injury to the victim, creating a threat to life.

“Defendant agreed in full with the charges brought against him. At the hearing the victim filed a petition for dismissal of the case, explaining that the defendant is a close relative, he compensated for non-pecuniary damage and reimbursed property damage, he has no claims to the defendant,” the press service of the court explained.

The victim's petition was upheld, the proceedings were terminated in connection with reconciliation with the victim.
