Penza, 4 July 2014. PenzaNews. Penza police detained Mikhail Leontiev, whose name appears in a number of criminal cases involving allegations of crimes committed.

“During the operational-search activities on July 3, information on the whereabouts of Leontiev was reseived. He was detained by police and taken to the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Penza region for further investigation and establishing his involvement in the crimes,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The details of the arrest are not disclosed yet.

As it was reported earlier, the name of Mikhail Leontiev appeared in the case of the murder of a resident of Penza Irina Alyoshina.

On May 30, Sergei Kosolapov was looking for the detained. The former confessed to the murder of Maria Lipilina Ramil Kadyshev, who went missing on May 8, 2014. Some time later, the man shot himself in the chest, after which a grenade blew up, which he held in his hand. As a result, Sergei Kosolapov died on the spot.

In June 2014, the relatives of Maria Lipilina and Ramil Kadyshev, as well as the mother of Irina Alyoshina who died a few years ago, participated in "Priamoy Efir” [Live] on the TV channel “Russia 1,” where they suggested that the listed murders may involve Mikhail Leontiev.
