Above 90 became "Yugo-Zapadny" Penza car shop fraud victims

Penza, 8 July 2014. PenzaNews. The number of victims in the criminal case of fraud when selling cars in Penza car shop “Yugo-Zapadny” reached 92 people. As the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region told news agency “PenzaNews,” the amount of the damage is about 15 million rubles.

The ministry reminded that a criminal case under part 4, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code “Fraud” was initiated against the leadership of the company involved in commission sale of cars.

“It has been established that employees of the company concluded agency agreements with citizens wishing to sell their cars. However, the owners never received their money from the bargain, it was stolen,” the press service explained.

The department added that the investigation established involvement of five people.

“Their homes were raided, as well as the building of the shop. During the searches, documents related to the case were confiscated. Two people involved in the case were detained under Art. 91-92 of the Criminal Code. The court sentenced them to house arrest. Also their real estate was arrested in order to cover civil lawsuits,” the ministry noted.

According to the information available to news agency “PenzaNews,” the investigation data has the name of General Director of “Avtokombinat” Mikhail Glebov, who won the inner-district No. 21 preliminary vote, organized on May 24, 2014 by the party United Russia in order to select candidates for deputies to Penza City Duma.
