Man faking unemployment convicted of fraud in Penza region

Penza, 24 July 2014. PenzaNews. A 50-year-old Penza area resident was found guilty under Part 1, Art. 159.2 of the Criminal Code “Payments fraud.”
“It has been established that the unemployed man was receiving a monthly allowance of 4900 rubles since November 2013. However, he was warned that he must notify the inspector in case he is employed. In March 2014, the man took the job as a security guard in a commercial organization, yet at the same time he re-registered as unemployed concealing the fact of employment. Subsequently, he received the allowance of four thousand rubles,” Yuliya Makarova, the Senior Assistant Attorney of the region, told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She added that the court appointed a guilty sentence of 200 hours of compulsory work, taking into account mitigating circumstances and the decision of the public prosecutor.
