Penza, 25 July 2014. PenzaNews. A resident of the Penza region transferred about 2 mln. rubles to fraudsters pretending to be employees of the Institute of Parapsychology.

“According to the victim, she learned about the institution from advertising on one of the TV channels in February 2014. Believing that parapsychologists can help her solve personal problems and kill the hoodoo, the woman called the telephone number. Then, she kept in touch with ‘the representatives of the institution’ for two months and transferred transferred 66.600 rubles to “the healers.” After that, she transferred 512 thousand rubles more to the fraudsters, and within five months, the amount reached almost 2 million rubles,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry clarified that a criminal case has been instituted on fraud.

“The police are taking measures to identify persons involved in the crime,” the press service said.
