Microloan organization worker stole nearly 2 mln rubles in Penza

Penza, 1 August 2014. PenzaNews. A 26-year-old native of Belarus, who was formerly held criminally liable for theft, vandalism and robbery, was arrested on suspicion of stealing more than 1700 thousand rubles from two offices of a Penza microloan company.

“We studied the surveillance camera feed that shows the law-breaker returning to one of the crime scenes several times. Later, the police identified the suspect who ended up being an employee of the affected office who took the job in April 2014,” the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The ministry added that the man was arrested in Ufa.

“Afterwards, the young man was brought to the Penza region for investigation. He admitted that on the day of the crime, he went to an entertainment venue with his girl friends, and then returned to the office several times to get the money in order to continue the party. Each time he took more and more resources. When he returned for the last time, he took the remaining cash from a drawer, and two laptops. In the director's office, there was a metal safe with documents and 1600 thousand rubles in cash. After an unsuccessful attempt to open it on the spot, the suspect took the safe with him as well, caught a taxi and went to another office, where he stole 40 thousand rubles more,” the department representative said.

The press service noted that the suspect spent the money on a two-week trip to Anapa, and then went to Togliatti, Moscow, Samara and at last Ufa, where he was detained by police.

“At the moment he is taken into custody,” the regional department of the ministry of Internal Affairs summed up.
