Penza, 1 August 2014. PenzaNews. A 41-year-old resident of the Penza region was found guilty of committing sexual assault against his 15-year-old stepdaughter, imprisonment of the girl and her grandmother, as well as causing bodily harm to the elderly woman.

“The court found that the man was working in Moscow on a rotational basis and used to come in Penza region in the house of his wife, where her 15-year-old daughter and a 66-year-old grandmother lived. In March 2014,s he was in the house of his wife, during a quarrel he beat the elderly woman and committed sexual assault against the teenager. After that, under the threat of physical violence, the man forced the girl and her grandmother to go down into the cellar of the house where they were illegally held,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She said that the victims were able to break free a few hours later, when the girl managed to persuade the attacker to call an ambulance for the elderly woman.

“Taking into account recidivism, the court sentenced the man to 9 years of imprisonment in a penal colony. The verdict has not entered into force yet,” the agency interlocutor explained.
