Penza, 4 August 2014. PenzaNews. Pre-investigation of the death of a 3-year-old girl is ongoing in Penza. The girl fell from an apartment window on the fifth floor.

“According to preliminary data, on Saturday evening, August 2, the girl managed to get onto the windowsill on her own, leaned on the mosquito net and fell out of the open window onto the street, receiving fatal injuries,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She added that currently the investigators are looking into all the circumstances of the incident.

“The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Penza region would like to urge all the parents to be more responsible when it comes to the safety of children at home. Do not leave your child unattended, and you will be able to prevent his death or injuries,” the agency interlocutor said.
