Racketeering case investigation against Penza deputy Zuev nearing completion

Penza, 4 August 2014. PenzaNews. Work on neutralizing the gang which, according to investigators, was organized by Andrei Zuev, member of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region of the fifth convocation of the Communist Party, is in the final stage, said Lieutenant-General Oleg Troshin, head of the regional investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Russian Federation.

“Twelve episodes of criminal activity, which we have identified, were registered at almost 90 percent, researched and investigated. At the moment, we are deciding on the final list of people who will be charged with being in the gang and committing all these crimes,” he said at the TV channel “Russia 1 Penza.”

Oleg Troshin added that the final charges will be filed against the people involved in the case within a month.

“I think if everything goes as planned, in September we will begin introducing the [accused] to the materials of the criminal case,” noted chief of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee in the Penza region.
