Four people were killed in traffic accidents that occurred in the Penza region during last weekend. As the group of propaganda of traffic police department in the region told news agency “PenzaNews,” an Isuzu Fargo car fell in the road ditch in Kameshkirsky area on Saturday, August 9.

“As a result, the driver, born 1957, died of injuries. Two passengers — the women, born 1983 and 1991 — were diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury and a bruised right thigh respectively,” the press service clarified.

The group of propaganda added that on the same day near Pyasha village, a VAZ-2110 also fell in a ditch.

“The driver, born 1990, and the passenger, born 1970, died at the scene. Another passenger — a woman, born 1982 — was hospitalized with broken ribs and a smashed collarbone, as well as brain contusion,” the press service said.

The department said that another tragic accident occurred in front of house No. 1, in Glazunova Street in Penza last Sunday, August 10.

“At 5.05, the driver of VAZ-21093 — a man, born 1992 — crashed into a lamp post. As a result, the young man died at the scene,” the traffic police said.

Over the weekend, the police registered over three thousand traffic violations. Above 460 of them were recorded using road equipment.

More than 50 intoxicated drivers were detained by traffic police officers.
