Four people injured in helicopter swamp crash near Penza

Penza, 13 August 2014. PenzaNews. The staff of the Volga Investigation Department on transport are looking into the circumstances of a forced landing of a five-seater “Robinson” helicopter in a swampy area near Pioner village, Kuznetsky area, the Penza region.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at about 12.30 pm on Wednesday, August 13.

As Senior Assistant of Volga Investigation Department on transport Dmitry Zakharov told news agency “PenzaNews,” the helicopter belongs to the Moscow company “Barkol.”

“According to preliminary data, at 10.00, it flew from the airport of Penza and around the pipeline for examination. The pilot and three passengers were on board. All of them were sent to the nearest hospital with a variety of injuries,” the agency interlocutor said.

He added that pre-investigation checks are underway.

“A complex of verifying activities to establish all the circumstances of the incident is held. We interview witnesses, study flight documentation,” Dmitry Zakharov said.
