Penza director of JSC “Wooden architecture” suspected of tax crime

Penza, 5 September 2014. PenzaNews. The general director of a Penza-bazed JSC “Wooden architecture” is suspected of committing a tax offense.
“According to the investigation, the head of the organization, in order to hide the funds from the tax authorities, carried out settlements with counterparties through third parties’ accounts. Thus, bypassing the settlement account of the organization, from November 2013 to January 2014, the total amount of transferred funds amounted to over 3700 thousand rubles, at the expense of which tax collection was to be made,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She explained that currently the crime is under investigation.
Sanction of Art. 199.2 of the Criminal Code “Concealment of funds or property of the organization or individual entrepreneur, at the expense of which tax and (or) fees collection shall be made” provides penalties including imprisonment for up to 5 years with or without prohibiting the violator to occupy certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to 3 years.
