“The preliminary investigation found that a Penza region resident sought for people with communal and credit debts and offered them help in selling their apartments in exchange for smaller flats. She deceived several people with promises to return them the profits obtained from such manipulations,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed PenzaNews agency.

The ministry representative clarified that the victims of the woman deceiver were heavy drunk addicts.

“The woman gained their trust and continued making them drunk on her own, or through her friends. After that, she made sure to obtain from each victim a proxy notice that allowed her to manage the victim’s apartment as she saw fit. The victims never contacted the potential buyers: the law-breaker negotiated and received the money herself, after which embezzled the received funds,” the press service elaborated.

The ministry representative added that after the fraud, the victims were forcefully escorted to the Gorodischensky area to live in an old hutment-type house.

“The police officers stopped the woman’s actions and brought her into custody. The investigators are collecting the evidence and examining her potential involvement in other crimes of such kind,” reported the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
