Alleged murderer of young man near “Dobro” club detained

Penza, 24 October 2014. PenzaNews. Afik Gafarov, suspect in the murder of Stanislav Kholkin during a mass brawl by the “Dobro” entertainment center on the Penza train station square, came to the police on his own on Friday, October 24. “He did not admit his guilt,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, told PenzaNews agency.

She added that currently the police are deciding on the possible arrest of the suspect.
As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, at night on October 19, 2014 two groups of young people had a conflict that grew into a mass brawl, which involved up to 30 people.
During the fight, one of the participants stabbed two men, one of whom died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
The alleged suspect fled from the scene immediately after the incident.
