Penza, 28 October 2014. PenzaNews. A 21-year old female resident of Penza has been accused of the crimes under part 1, Art. 109 of the Criminal Code “Infliction of death by negligence,” and Art. 109 “Failure to give assistance to persons in mortal danger.”

“According to the investigation, in August 2014, the woman dropped her newborn son in a steel bath in her flat on Meditsinskaya street,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Penza, told PenzaNews agency.

She added that the woman consulted a doctor only the day after when the baby died.

“The medical workers arrived and stated that the one month old boy had died. The forensic medical examination established that the death occurred as a result of the trauma the newborn had received in the fall. The woman fully admitted her guilt,” clarified the agency interlocutor.
