Penza, 18 November 2014. PenzaNews. Oktyabrsky region court of Penza city found the local resident guilty of three acts of contraband of anabolic steroids, illegal potent substances.

“In April 2014, the wrongdoer agreed to transport the potent substances from Minsk to Penza, while knowing they are forbidden in RF. At the same time, he knew about the measures taken to obscure the substances from the customs in the post,” the press secretary of the court told PenzaNews agency.

According to him, the Federal Drug Control Service branch in the Penza region found and apprehended the substances from the offender when he was crossing the border, and later on located them in his bag and apprehended them the same.

“The offender has already perpetrated two similar acts of contraband. He pleaded guilty in court and said he is fond of bodybuilding and takes steroids to improve physique,” the agency interlocutor added.

The court sentenced the offender to a suspended sentence of 42 months in prison with a three-year probation period.
