Heavy motorized crane lost control, rammed 7 cars in Penza

Penza, 21 November 2014. PenzaNews. A motorized crane “Ural” with a weight of 25 tons rammed 7 cars while going down along Krasnaya Gorka street in Penza on Friday, November 21. Reportedly, the car’s brakes failed. As bystanders told PenzaNews agency, the first cars rammed by the crane were standing on the crossroads with Kalinina street. Afterwards, the vehicle continued along the road, and stopped on Gogolya street after driving to the pedestrian side.

According to official reports, nobody was harmed in the accident. However, as several bystanders mentioned, a woman and her child barely escaped certain death by crossing the road seconds before the vehicle.
The driver of the motorized crane, a middle-aged man, has already been interrogated by the traffic police who are currently in the process of investigating the accident.
The event did not affect the traffic, since rammed cars were pushed away from the road.
The traffic police are yet to present their picture of what happened.
