Kuznetsk resident sentenced to 66 months in prison for child rape attempt

Penza, 15 December 2014. PenzaNews. A resident of Kuznetsk, the Penza region, born 1966, was found guilty of attempted sexual assault of a minor.
“The court found that in December 2013, a man in a state of intoxication used physical force to bring a teenager in his apartment, where he tried to commit sodomy. The victim refused. Having lulled the vigilance of the adult, he ran out of the apartment and asked the passers-by for help,” Yuliya Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the region in Media Relations, told PenzaNews agency.
She said that the court followed the prosecutor and sentenced the man to 5.5 years in a penal colony.
“After serving the main prison sentence, he will be subject to 2 years of freedom restriction. The sentence has not entered into force and may be appealed,” the agency interlocutor added.
