Penza, 24 December 2014. PenzaNews. A 32-year old Penza citizen was found guilty of 88 cases of sexual abuse against 8 teenage boys. He was sentenced to 15 years in maximum-security penal colony.

“The court and investigators found out the offender was abusing the boys between 2004 and 2009. The man quickly befriended them and invited to his home to play video games. Afterwards, he drove them to uninhabited land plots where he threatened them with harm and a pneumatic pistol into submission. His crimes became public only after one of the boys told the police about them,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the city Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, told PenzaNews agency.

According to her, the person was wanted in the country after the case was opened.

“He was arrested this year after the police raided a Saransk men’s monastery,” the official said.

Even though the culprit actively resisted the court, the police one by one defeated the defensive claims he tried to use to avoid punishment.

“The court found the man guilty of numerous crimes under Parts 2 and 3, Art. 132 of the Criminal Code, ‘Sex abuse,’ and a single case under part 1, Art. 119 of the Criminal Code ‘Death treats’,” clarified Lyudmila Fomina.
