Penza, 13 January 2015. PenzaNews. A 19-year old female resident of Novosibirsk suspected of killing a young man of her age met the victim not too long before the tragedy after she arrived to her social network friend, Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the city Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, told PenzaNews agency.

She reminded that the murder occurred on January 8, 2015.

“According to investigators, the 19-year old young woman strangled the young man with a jacket strap in a rented flat during a quarrel. Afterwards, she stabbed him in the chest and the neck seven times with a kitchen knife. The man died on the scene,” clarified the official.

Lyudmila Fomina added that the suspect is currently under arrest.

According to the investigation service representative, the New Year holidays in the Penza region were stained by four serious crimes.

“The majority of them were caused by alcohol,” mentioned the agency interlocutor.
