Penza, 15 January 2015. PenzaNews. The police of Zarechny town of the Penza region are investigating the case of a local woman who allegedly attempted to burn her son-in-law alive.

A 45-year old man came to the police and said he had a quarrel with the mother of his wife.

According to him, after one of the rows the elderly woman ambushed him at the entrance to the apartment building, and splashed his overcoat with petrol in an attempt to ignite it. Seeing real danger, the man managed to get away.

The mother-in-law refused to plead guilty during the questioning.

According to “Zarechye Sevodnya” newspaper, the police experts are currently examining the man's overcoat.
