Train crashed into car in Penza section of Kuybyshevskaya railroad, two dead

Penza, 22 January 2015. PenzaNews. A driver of a car and his passenger dies in an accident that occurred on a signaled railroad crossing between Bazarnoe and Patrikeevo stations of the Penza segment of the Kuybyshevskaya railroad on Thursday, January 22.

As the press service of the railroad told PenzaNews agency, a car drove into the railway before the approaching Moscow—Tashkent passenger train No. 6 at about 10.15 am.

“The train driver engaged emergency brakes, but the distance was too small to avoid the collision,” they said.

According to the press service, the driver and the passenger of the car were the only casualties.

“The accident did not affect the schedule. None of the passengers requested medical help,” said the Kuybyshevskaya railroad representatives.
