Penza, 22 January 2015. PenzaNews. Vladimir Podobed, chairman of the Penza regional Chamber of Commerce, has stated he has no connections with numerous phone calls to the members of the Chamber with requests to allegedly provide financial assistance to his relatives in a tough situation.

“I would like to inform you of numerous cases of phone fraud against the members of the Chamber of Commerce during last two days. Unknown people are making calls to heads of various companies posing as me with requests to provide material assistance that allegedly would go to my relatives in a tough situation. I am asking you to ignore such requests. I have no relation to them,” says the letter of Vladimir Podobed received by the PenzaNews agency on Thursday, January 22.

The letter also says the police have been informed of the fraud on January 21.

“If you receive such a call, please inform the Penza region Chamber of Commerce and, if possible, write down the Caller ID,” adds the letter.
