Police: No explosives, dangerous substances found in Penza TC “SuniMart”

Penza, 13 February 2015. PenzaNews. The police have disbanded the cordon around the trading center “SuniMart” in the Penza downtown. Its staff and customers had been evacuated at approximately 18.00 on Friday, February 13.

“Police received a report about explosives in the trading center. All emergency services immediately arrived to the scene, conducted necessary investigations, and found no presence of danger in the location,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs commented for PenzaNews agency.

The department added that the person who submitted the report has been detained.

“A group of investigators is working with him,” the press service clarified.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, visitors and staff of “SuniMart” trade center were asked to immediately leave the location via intercom. The evacuation was so urgent that store employees were forced to abandon their personal belongings while leaving.
