“Yugo-Zapadny” Penza car dealership dealt over 45 mln of fraud damages

Penza, 20 February 2015. PenzaNews. The “Yugo-Zapadny” car dealership in Penza has done over 45 million rubles of fraud damages, said police colonel Yuri Ruzlyaev, head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs department, during a report on results of the 2014 work of his institution to the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region on Friday, February 20.

“The fraud case against top managers of ‘Yugo-Zapadny’ car dealership is under investigation. As of today, we have located 155 victims, and the total damages from the crime exceeded 45 million rubles,” he said.

Yuri Ruzlyaev also added that his department has solved several big crimes, such as the murder of a Kaliningrad region businessman whose body was found drowned in a pond; a case of sexual abuse of an underage girl in the Belinsky village; the arrest of the organizer of a multiple chain schemes who embezzled more than 3.5 million rubles from several dozens of people and was hiding in Sochi.

“A total of five criminal cases related to chain schemes has been opened in 2014. We have stopped a group of the so-called black realtors who did over 40 acts of real estate related crime for a total of over 30 million rubles since 2009,” the MIA regional branch head added.

According to him, the police together with the Federal Service for the Execution of Sentences have solved over 20 cases of phone fraud committed by inmates of Penza region penal institutions.

“A year ago, such crimes were left completely unsolved, compared to now,” Yuri Ruzlyaev stressed.
