Penza, 21 February 2015. PenzaNews. The Penza police are investigating a traffic accident involving a police officer that resulted in injuries of another person.

“The accident took place in the evening of February 20 on 8 Marta street of Penza. A police officer, driving his personal car to the job while being sober, has hit a pedestrian crossing the street on an unregulated crossing. The pedestrian was injured and hospitalized,” the press service of the Penza region police department informed PenzaNews agency.

An investigation will establish all the details of the collision, the officials added.

“Its results will result in required actions following the norms of law,” the press service said.
