Penza, 22 February 2015. PenzaNews. The police of the Spassky area of the Penza region have arrested a local resident, 52, on suspicion of stealing rebar from reinforced concrete slabs.

“The police have received a report on theft in the village of Lipyagi. An unidentified person broke apart 18 slabs of reinforced concrete in an abandoned farmhouse and stole the rebar. After an investigation, the police officers and found that a local resident, 52, is connected to the theft. He was questioned, and confessed to the crime. The stolen property was confiscated,” the press service of the regional police department informed PenzaNews agency.

According to law enforcement forces, a criminal case may possibly be opened on the act.
