Penza resident opens door to stranger, loses three phones, puffer coat, picnic set

Penza, 6 March 2015. PenzaNews. The police detained a man suspected in the armed robbery of a Penza resident, 36.

“The victim explained that an unknown person entered his apartment late at night, threatened him with an object that looked like a knife, and stole three cell phones, a puffer coat and a picnic set,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews agency.

The police were able to locate the suspect based on his description, the officials added.

“It was a previously convicted Penza resident, 40. He was apprehended and confessed to the crime. The police have seized some of the stolen goods. Criminal proceedings were initiated on the fact of robbery,” the press service added.
