Penza, 9 March 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza citizen, 18, lost 3,000 rubles hoping to find her lost mobile phone.

The young woman has published a message about her lost phone in VKontakte social network, the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs informed PenzaNews agency.

“She was shortly contacted by an anonymous person who said he will return the phone for a reward of 3,000 rubles that must be transferred to a mobile phone number. The young woman followed his instructions,” they said, adding that the Penza resident’s actions were in vain.

According to the police department, the young woman knew about such fraud schemes, but still trusted the anonymous.

“We are currently investigating the case. The police officers are working on identifying the culprits. They contacted the young lady using a phone number registered in a different city,” the MIA officials explained.
