Penza, 5 April 2015. PenzaNews. A Penza ctizen, 32, was brought into a hospital with 98% burns after a gas blast in a rented flat in the city of Balashikha in the Moscow region on Saturday, April 4.

According to preliminary investigation, the incident was caused by safety violations.

The blast damaged walls, doors and windows of several flats around it: however, the structural walls held, and the building has no danger of breakdown.

Three other residents of the apartment building suffered symptoms of gas byproduct poisoning but were treated without hospitalization.

According to “Interfax,” residents of two flats around the incident area have been temporarily resided in a student dorm or with their relatives.
