Penza, 6 April 2015. PenzaNews. Penza resident has been arrested on suspicion of stealing gold jewelry worth around 31 thousand rubles from the apartment of his former lover.

“It has been established that the suspect had a quarrel with the mistress and decided to move out taking his things with him. Since he had no keys, he entered the woman’s apartment on the second floor through the open balcony, took his belongings and stole jewelry belonging to the mistress,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed PenzaNews agency.

The ministry added that the man gave the jewelry to a pawn shop and spent the money for personal needs.

“The suspect confessed to the crime. At present, he is in custody,” the press service said.

The police informed that criminal proceedings have been initiated on the incident, the investigation continues.
